Art & Soul

Art & Soul sessions are offered by our own St. James instructor where participants are encouraged to come and create in an atmosphere that is supportive, offering fellowship and fun.

Christian Community Development Fund (CCDF)

This is a community project headed by a member of St. James.  It operates solely on donations, grants and volunteer labor.  The mission statement is, “Making a positive influence in the lives of the low to very low income elderly and disabled homeowners of Gulf County by repairing their substandard homes."

St. James coordinates parishioners monetary donations to ERD during Advent. Parishioners can provide much needed items to those in need in developing countries.

Food Pantry

The Port St. Joe Food Pantry originated right here at St. James. It moved to its current location when other churches and organizations wished to participate. St. James still provides much needed non-perishable items through our food drives. Drop your donations off in the narthex.

Hospital Chaplain

Father Dwyer serves as the chaplain to Sacred Heart on the Gulf on a rotating basis. He visits patients and staff alike. His presence and prayers bring strength, calmness, and healing to patients and those who care for them.

Hour of Prayer

Port St. Joe Hour of Prayer is a gathering time for all. Prayers are led by various members of the Clergy in our town. This event started because of a request from St. James to the Ministerial Assoc.

The mahjong group meets every Tuesday from 9:00 - noon. Please join us for fun and fellowship. (Don't worry, we are happy to teach new members how to play.)

Ministerial Association of Port St. Joe

Father Dwyer is an active participant in our local ministerial association. This is a positive ecumenical force in our community.

Police Cadet Chaplain

Father Dwyer is chaplain to this youth organization focused on raising up First Responders from the community.  Father also acts as treasurer for the grants that fund the unit.  This ministry provides a positive influence to teenage youth, giving them a spirit of community service, strengthening their basic ethic of life, and building solid and productive citizens in Port St. Joe.

United thank offering (uto)

UTO is a ministry coordinated by the ECW where needed grants are distributed throughout the U.S. and around the world.
